Laying drives in Crewe
Crewe grew up around the railway, and you can still see it in the housing. Near the centre and down towards the station there are long rows of Victorian terraces with small frontages, then inter-war semis heading out, and newer estates on the edges. A terrace frontage usually has room for one car at most, so getting the levels and the edge right matters more than the pattern.
